The Development
Kaltrina Residence is located in a prestigious but quiet area of Saranda, close to the 5 star Butrinti Hotel and just 3 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Ionian Sea. Built to European standards, the one and two bedroom apartments are priced from 39,744 Euros up to 86,505 Euros depending on number of bedrooms, floor level and the view. Please note, unlike some other agencies, we do not charge a buyers commission on top of the Developers prices. Apartments are sold finished but unfurnished; furniture packs are available at an additional cost of 4,495 Euros for a one bedroom apartment and 5,995 Euros for a two bedroom apartment. Located on the shores of Ionian Sea, in front of the Greek island of Corfu, Saranda is the one of main tourist destinations in Albania. The resort is characterized by a Mediterranean climate and warm sea waters averaging 290 sunny days a year. In the summer, temperatures rarely exceed 30 degrees during the day whilst there is a refreshing sea breeze keeping the evenings cool. Saranda is an old town, first settled by the Illyrian tribe of Chaonians who named it Onchesmus. Cicero mentions it as convenient harbour with favourable winds, however it is the bay on which it is built that gives Saranda its charming look. Near Saranda you will find the “Blue Eye” natural spring and the ruins of the ancient city of Butrint, a World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological finds in Albania. Also, close to Saranda is the ancient city of Finiq, which according to Edwin Jacques is found to have had one of the biggest acropolis in the ancient world, roughly 7 times larger than that of Athens. Whilst visiting Saranda and surrounding areas you might wish to visit the archaeological site of Butrint, Ethnographic Museum, ruins of the ancient town of Onhezmi in Saranda, the ancient temple and other ruins of Foinike in Finiq village, the small Castle of Ali Pasha in Vrine village, the Church of Saint Kolli in Mesopotam village as well as
